Caring for Your Contento Candle
To ensure the longevity and quality of your Contento Candle, please follow these simple tips.
Gently Trim the Wick
Before each lighting, always trim the wick to ¼ inch. This preserves the wick, helps prevent soot and ensures a steady flame.
First Burn = Full Melt
(This is an important one!)
Allow the wax to melt across the entire surface on the first burn (about 4 hours). This prevents tunneling, maximizes scent throw and helps your candle last longer.
Burn Time Matters
Limit each burn session to 3–4 hours to preserve the quality of the wax and vessel.
Stay Safe
Always burn your candle within sight, away from pets, anything flammable, and drafts (to prevent sooting). Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Stop at ½ inch
Discontinue use when ½ inch of wax remains to avoid overheating the vessel.
A Little Fun Fact:
Candles have a “memory,” meaning the wax will only melt as far as it did during the first burn—so let it reach the edges on that first light to ensure an even, beautiful burn every time.
