Our Story
Contento Candle Co. was inspired by and created in honor of two remarkable people - my parents. In their final years, both faced the quiet unraveling that comes with dementia - a journey that taught me the power of love and light.
As their world slowly shifted, something beautiful remained. Yet, through all of the uncertainty, they were often described with one beautiful word: Content.
That word stayed with me. It felt powerful. Peaceful. Whole.
Contento means “happy and content” in Italian. It captures the feeling I want to share. It’s not loud or flashy, but gentle and grounding. A kind of happiness you create for yourself.
When my Dad, who always loved the soft glow of a candle, first became ill, I started making candles - not as a business, but as a way to focus on something meaningful. It brought me comfort - a quiet source of peace that helped me feel steady in an unsteady time.
Over time, making candles became something more - a quiet practice of reflection and creativity. What began at my kitchen table turned into a pursuit of calm and everyday contentment.
These are not just candles; they are invitations. To pause. To feel. To connect.
This company is my way of honoring the peace my parents carried, even in their most difficult days. They gave me the courage to begin again - and the quiet belief that being content might just be the most beautiful kind of happiness.

The Process
At Contento Candle, each candle is thoughtfully handcrafted in small batches, using 100% soy wax to ensure a clean, even burn. Our fragrances are curated not just for their aroma, but for their ability to ground, soothe, and evoke a quiet sense of calm - like a deep exhale after a long day.
Each candle is hand-poured into a blown-glass vessel, made with care to bring calm and beauty into everyday life. More than a candle, it’s an intentional ritual to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.
Dementia Touches Millions

Approximately 55 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer's disease or related forms of dementia. It impacts not only those diagnosed but also their families and caregivers.
This mission is deeply personal to me -my work is inspired by my own parents’ experience with dementia, and every candle is lit with love, remembrance, and purpose.
Giving Back with Every Candle
A portion of every purchase supports the work of Hilarity for Charity (HFC)
HFC is a nonprofit organization on a mission to care for families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease, activate the next generation of Alzheimer’s advocates, and be a leader in brain health research and education.
From caregiver respite grants to brain health programs for young adults, HFC is bringing awareness, resources, and hope to families affected by dementia.
